Transported Semen Service Agreement - Zippo Can Do Lawence Quarter Horses & Helland Ranch

No.__________________ Mare Owner: __________________________________________________________ Stallion: Zippo Can Do   ·   AQHA Registration #3297244 Stallion Owner:Lawrence Qtr Horses, 23552 Hwy 316 Blvd, Hastings, MN 55033, 651·438·4123 Breeding Farm: Helland Ranch, 22633 Vista Road, Hutchinson, MN 55350, 320·587·8086 Season of Service - February 1 to July 1, 2002 Breeding Fee for Live Foal $1500 paid to Lawrence Quarter Horse Farm
1.	The breeding fee includes a non-refundable booking fee of $200.00 Payable with this contract the balance of which must be paid before semen is shipped.
2.	A copy of both sides of the Mare's registration papers must be received by the Stallion Manager before semen will be shipped to Mare Owner. Mare Owner recorded on registration papers will be used on Stallion Breeding report.
3.	Mare Owner agrees that only the Mare designated on this contract will be inseminated with the shipped semen and that she will carry her own foal unless notification and approval is given by the Breeding Manager that Mare is in an embryo transfer program.
4.	A. Live Foal Guarantee: This guarantee is conditioned upon compliance by Mare Owner and Mare of all conditions set forth in this Agreement and applicable horse breeding customs.
	B. "Live Foal" means that the Foal shall stand and nurse. If the mare dies, proves barren, aborts her foal or it is stillborn, a return service will be provided the "following season" but only if mare Owner had complied with this Agreement and provided satisfactory evidence of entitlement to return service and further has provided notifation as required. To be entitled to return service, Mare Owner must provide certification by a licensed Veterinarian, within 48 hours that Mare has slipped or produced a non-viable Foal or certification that Mare has aborted or died, and in addition evidence that said failure did not result from act or omission of Mare Owner.
5.	Mare Owner agrees to pay the following charges to Helland Ranch associated with the transport of cooled semen:
	A. A "refundable" deposit fee for that use of the Equltainer (the container used to ship the cooled semen) of $150.00 must be paid in full prior to shipment of semen. The Equltainer must be shipped back to the Breeding Farm by overnight carrier at Mare Owner's expence within 48 hours. There will be a late container fee of $25.00 per day
	B. For each shipment of semen the charges will include $150.00 handling fee in addition to standard overnight shipping cost.
6.	Reservation for shipped semen: A. Fresh chilled semen will be collected and shipped on breeding days only; Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. Mares on premesis will be covered before shipments are made.
	B. All semen order must be received by noon the day before the requested collection date. Late orders will be filled if possible but not guaranteed.
	C. Breeding Manager requires notification when the Mare first shows signs of heat.
7.	Breeding Manager has been allowed to ship semen through 3 heat cycles.
8.	Mare Owner agrees to have Mare examined by an early ultrasound scan 14 days after that last day inseminated and notify the Breeding Manger of her pregnancy status. It is suggested that the Mare be pregnancy checked again at 40 to 45 days by manual palpation.
9.	If Stallion dies or becomes unfit to breed before Mare is bred, Stallion Owner and Breeding Farm shall have no liability to Mare Owner except to notify Mare Owner of occurrence, and refund booking fee.
10.	A breeder's Certificate will be issued to Mare Owner after all fees and expenses due Breeding Mana
11.	Miscellaneous Items: This Agreement shall be interpreted under the laws of the State of Minnesota. This Agreement may be executed in counterparts and will be effective when at least one copy has been executed by Mare Owner, by Breeding Farm or Authorized Agent. Any Changes in the Agreement are to be in writing and signed by Breeding Farm or Authorized Agent.
